Photography is becoming an increasingly popular hobby as high-spec digital cameras are ever-more intuitive and the cost of producing pictures continue to drop. Of course, one thing that you can't change with technology is subject matter and vantage point, and so this article looks at where you can go to get the most spectacular shots.
Underwater
Taking pictures underwater was almost impossible until recently for all but the most tooled-up and committed professionals. However, in the last few years the technology has advanced so much that depending on your camera you may only need to purchase a few add-ons to shoot from beneath the water's surface. As a result you can now take pictures of all sorts of sea life very easily, capturing them as they go about their daily lives. Because of the still relative scarcity of underwater shots your friends and family are likely to be impressed with any non-blurry pictures from beneath the waves.
From The Sky
Obviously finding a different perspective for a shot is the challenge for many photographers and consequently they'll try to find a way to take to the skies. Many like helicopters, but they are expensive and can be pretty noisy, thus ruining your concentration. Arguably you might want to hire a hot air balloon over the area you want to shoot, as they provide you with that unique perspective and a lot more piece while you click away. Also, because they travel more sedately you'll have much more time to pick out the best subject matter beneath you. Who knows, you might even get lucky and be able to capture a bird in flight!
Early Morning
Light is always an important factor for any photographer who is keen to take the perfect shot and much of the best light is found in the early hours of the morning. Not only will you much of the city or countryside to yourself, but you'll also maybe see sights that aren't normally available to those get up later in the day. If you're not convinced that early morning shots are better than any other time of the day than have a flick through the nature sections of National Geographic and you'll realise that most of their landscape shots are taken at this time.
As you should already know there's plenty to taking the perfect picture but this article should give you some ideas to help you on your way to doing just that.
