Just as Reese Witherspoon is moving out of Ojai, Hollywood couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are moving in. The pair bought an eco-friendly estate back in June for $2.15 million, according to property records and a report by TMZ.
Best known for his stint as funny co-worker on Jim Halpert on ?The Office,? Krasinski married actress Blunt (?The Devil Wears Prada,? ?The Adjustment Bureau,? ?The Five-Year Engagement?) in 2010. Krasinski recently sold a home in West Hollywood for $880,000. He also owns another home in West Hollywood that he purchased for $1.857 million in early 2009; that 6-bedroom pad likely serves as the couple?s home base.
But, like most actor-actress couples, a second home in a far more secluded locale is always appealing. Located about an hour and a half outside of Los Angeles, Ojai offers a quieter, less frenzied pace than L.A. and undoubtedly is less prone to paparazzi stake-outs.
Originally listed for $2.494 million, Krasinski and Blunt?s new home sits on the site of the original Ojai hotel. The 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath home was built in 1982 and spans 4,177 square feet. Powered by solar energy with access to well water, the home has a separate guest wing, four fireplaces, a three-car garage and pool with spa.
