Russell Crowe Signs On for Drama 'Fathers & Daughters'

Russell Crowe is set to star in Fathers & Daughters, a drama that will be selling at this year’s AFM.



Gabriele Muccino is directing the project centered on a woman dealing with a crumbling relationship in the present and looking back on the relationship she had with her father, a famous novelist, 25 years earlier.

Crowe is playing the father.


They are currently testing actresses for the female lead as the drama eyes a December shoot.


Voltage will be selling the film at AFM. The company’s Nicolas Chartier and Craig J. Flores are producing. Sherryl Clark is also producing.


Muccino is best-known for directing The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds, both of which starred Will Smith.


Crowe has two movies in the can: Akiva Goldsman’s directorial debut, Winter’s Tale, and Darren Aronofsky’s Noah.
